Synopsis: The nature of energy supply systems; energy resources and demand; electrical generation, photovoltaic systems. Modelling of network elements; symmetrical components; steady state and dynamic analysis of power systems; frequency and voltage control; analysis of dynamic transients and transient faults; protection systems.

Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 50% + Special assignment: 30% + Laboratory work: 20%
