ECE3803Clinical engineering management(ENG) Proposed to be offered next in 2002 B Lithgow 4 points + 26 lectures, 24 hours of tutorial and project work + Second semester of even years + Clayton + Prohibition: ECS3398 Synopsis: Clinical engineering involves the selection, implementation and support during use of complex systems of medical technology found in modern hospitals. The course includes an examination of clinical engineers in relation to the management of medical technology, an introduction to Australian and international standards that relate to medical equipment and devices, the equipment acquisition process, acceptance testing and the changing role of clinical engineers.
