Synopsis: Students are introduced to rapidly changing areas of leading edge contemporary engineering practice by exposure to engineers and researchers drawn where possible from international research centres and industry.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Semester test: 10% + Laboratory/assignment: 20%
