Income distribution

(BUS)

6 points + Two 1.5-hour lectures per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: ECC1000 and ECC1100, or ECC1100 and ECC2100 or equivalent

Synopsis: The purpose of this subject is to examine the available evidence on the distribution of income and wealth, particularly in Australia; to examine the relative contributions of economic and non-economic factors in explaining that evidence; and to examine the impact of government policies designed to redistribute income and wealth.

Assessment: Assignments: 20% + Examination (2 hours): 80%
