Preparation for Performance

(ART)

6 points + 2 hours per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: Students taking this subject should normally have completed a first and second year DTS sequence

Synopsis: This subject will provide students with the tools to prepare a text or performance score for presentation. Though a full production is not the out come of this subject, there will be practical workshops to illustrate and explore methods of rehearsal technique. The subject relies heavily, as do all theatrical ventures, on the capacity to work in an ensemble.

Assessment: Written and oral presentation: 30: + Practical workshop: 30% + Seminar participation and assessment: 40%
