DTS2660Technical aspects of performance making(ART)
Michael Coe 6 points + 2 hours per week + Second semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: PER1040 or technical skills evaluation + Prohibition: DTS3660 Synopsis: This subject will examine in detail the role of the Stage Manager and the major departments of Lighting, Sound, Costume, Props and Scenic fabrication. Students will utilise the methods of mainstream theatrical practice particular to the western theatre, and Australian, tradition to realise the mise-en-scene of a full length theatrical production. Students will also compare this methodology to non-professional practice. Assessment: Class project (1500 words): 40% + Practical task: 60% |
