To be advised 12 points + 2 hours per week + First semester + Clayton Synopsis: The implications for the study of development and of development theory of a number of the global crises. Major topics include the end of the Cold War, militarism in the third world, population growth, third world debt, gender and development, ethnicity and nationalism and religious fundamentalism.
