4 points + off campus distributed learning + Approximately 10 hours per week

Synopsis: This elective module covers the following topics; physiology of menopause, clinical features, medical problems and NRT, cardiovascular disease in post menopausal women, abnormal bleeding and gynaecological cancer, disorders of urinary tract function, breast cancer and HRT, premenstrual syndrome and psychological problems of approaching menopause, hormone replacement therapy, natural therapies and their use in menopause, contraception in peri menopausal women, sexual changes associated with menopause, social perspectives at menopause and assessment of menopausal patients and Osteoporosis.
