Multimedia programming and the World Wide Web

6 points + Two 1-hour lectures per week + Second semester, Clayton + Second semester, Malaysia + Prerequisite: CSC2050 or CSE2305 + Prohibitions: CSC2252, CSC3252, CSE2325, SFT2200,

Synopsis: Introduction to technical and design aspects of interactive media, focusing on the Internet and World Wide Web. Topics include, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), CGI, JavaScript and Dynamic HTML programming; Principles of user-centered design including graphical user interfaces, information architecture, information design, navigation, page layout, typography, colour systems, sound and animation.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Assignments: 30%
