CSE2401Software engineering practice(IT)
J Miller 8 points + 4 hours per week + First semester + Clayton, First, second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites: SFT1102 or equivalent + Prohibitions: CFR2128, CFR3042, CSE2305, CSE3302, GCO3811, SFT2201 or equivalent Synopsis: Application of software engineering principles including the software development process, quality assurance, project management, software metrics, configuration management, performance, testing and debugging, technical reviews, reuseability and change management in an applied case study framework. Case-study material involves the design and development and/or maintenance of a computer system using problem-solving skills, abstraction and object-oriented techniques, and a variety of software engineering tools and techniques. Assessment: Project work and Practical Examination: 70% + Examination (3 hours): 30% |
