Synopsis: Students will explore the various perspectives of Primary Health and recognise what can be defined as Primary Health Care within their own area of practice. Providing "Primary" services is essential to health promotion and sickness prevention strategies, particularly in rural and remote communities. This unit has a large 'directed reading' component. The assignments and journal work encourages self reflection. This unit is particularly relevant to nurse practitioners.
