CRH1008Rural and remote mental health practice(MED)
Mr J Hovel 6 points + off campus distributed learning + Semester one + Semester two Synopsis: This unit aims to equip you as rural health care practitioners, with skills which will increase or enhance your ability to work with people who have mental health problems. The unit examines Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders' mental health issues. It is becoming increasingly evident to health professionals that cultural and ethnic factors must be taken into account when delivering health care. In rural and remote situations, Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander' cultural practices need to be considered. Assessment: Written assessment + Journals + Teleconference participation |
