Dr J Chesters , Mr P O'Meara & Mr M McGrail 6 points + off campus distributed learning + First semester Synopsis: Research Methods introduces epidemiology and other research methodologies which may be usefully applied to the investigation of rural health. An emphasis is placed on a belief that the investigative skills of all health practitioners are an integral part of their professional repertoire. The principles of research design are described including qualitative and quantitative approaches. Assessment: Written assignments + Journals + Teleconference participation |
