3 points + 2 lectures per week + Clayton + Prerequisites: CHE3115 Synopsis: The place of minerals discoveries in the development of Australia, and the present position of the minerals industry in the Australian economy. The extraction and refining of one or two metals of importance will be considered in detail, applying knowledge gained in the chemical engineering subjects to the processing of minerals.
