CGP1007Introduction to family therapy(MED)
Dr L Jackson 4 points + off campus distributed learning + Approximately 10 hours per week Synopsis: This unit examines the context of relationships, in particular family relationships, in contributing to physical and mental illness. It explores the genogram model of identifying family factors in the aetiology of emotional problems, and examines various forms of psychotherapy used in the management of patients with such problems. A four stage model of therapy is then taught to students, including evaluation of therapeutic outcomes. Assessment: Written assessment work |
