CFM1002Clinical general practice(MED)
Dr L Whitecross 6 points + off campus distributed learning + Approximately 10 hours per week Synopsis: This unit is a compulsory core unit within the Graduate Certificate in Family Medicine and includes the following: understanding the theory of general practice consulting skills, the principles of multi-disciplinary care, rational prescribing and cost-effective medical care. Demonstrate general practice consulting skills, physical examination skills and practical skills appropriate to general practice. Gain emergency care skills for general practitioners and learn the principles of self-care for general practitioners. This unit will benefit doctors training in general practice or seeking to improve their skills. Assessment: Written assessment + Examination (OSCE)+ Attendance at a weekend workshop |
