Synopsis: Specification, evaluation and acquisition of computer systems including feasibility studies, requirements specification, requests for tender, tender evaluation, software and hardware selection. Systems implementation. Capacity planning. Computer security. Computer standards. Local area network and network management.

Assessment: Assignments: 40% + Examination (2 hours): 60% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the subject.
