BUS3900Financial Computing(IT)
P R Lajbcygier 6 points + One 2-hour lecture and one 1-hour tutorial per week + First semester, Clayton + Prohibitions: BUS5900 Synopsis: The application of computing technology to the solution of practical problems in investment/finance is taught in this subject. Shares, options and futures are covered, however the emphasis is on the application of computing to finance, using packages such as Excel and SAP which maybe encountered by students who pursue a career combining computing and finance/accounting. Assessment: Assignments: 20% + Tests: 20% + Examination (2 hours): 60% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the subject. |
