Mr Lyall Phillips 6 points + 3 hours per week + First or second semester + Caulfield + Prohibition: BTX9060 Synopsis: Topics include introduction to the common law and legislation which controls the management of staff; the law affecting the selection, recruitment and termination of staff; employment contracts and their implications; the industrial relations commission and courts; workplace health and safety; union relationships and industrial action; tortious liability of management; wages and salary administration; suspension and stand down; anti-discrimination law.
