BIO4000Biology honours(SCI)
Dr Martin Burd 48 points + Clayton + Prerequisites: A distinction level average in 24 points at third year level BIO subjects, or 18 points in BIO and 6 points in a relevant discipline approved by the Head of School. Special circumstances: Level 3 subjects from other discipline areas can be counted towards 18 points where appropriate relevance can be demonstrated to the Head of School. Synopsis: Students undertake supervised research, present a research seminar, and submit an essay on an advanced topic in biology distinct from that of their research project. Candidates may commence the honours year at the beginning of either semester. Further information is available from the course coordinator and at meetings held with prospective students during second semester of third year.
