Synopsis: An advanced treatment of the theoretical concepts and constructs that underpin electronic commerce, especially systems theory. The systems lifecycle and the phases involved in implementing systems development. The necessity to maintain a focus on end product. Resource requirements for system implementation. Strategies for dealing with security. Authentication and validation mechanisms in electronic commerce. Information systems networks and infrastructure.
