Synopsis: The effectiveness of electronic purchasing, supply-chain management and customer-supplier relationships and electronic commerce agreements. Applications of electronic commerce in the banking industry, specifically money creation, cyber cash and electronic payment systems, Smart Cards and stored value cards. Applications of electronic commerce via the Internet and the new business opportunities that creates. Evaluation of a comprehensive electronic commerce implementation.

Assessment: Assignment 1 (case study - 2000 words): 20% + Assignment 2 (research essay - 3000-4000 words): 40% + Examination (3 hours): 40%
