APA3212Ceramics elective 6C(A&D) Offered subject to final approval 6 points + 2 hours in class and 10 independent study hours per week + Second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites: APA3211 + Elective within BAppA,BFA,BVA,BID,BDes Synopsis: Studio sessions and tutor demonstrations develop the design processes, understanding of materials, forming methods and technical procedures associated wtih advanced studio projects. The theory of contemporary ceramic practice, including technical, conceptual, asethetic and cultural issues, is delivered in regular fortnightly seminars. Students are encouraged to research and discuss issues related to both the practial and theoretical content of the course. Assessment: Portfolio of work and research paper + Mid semester:20% + End of semester: 80% |
