Synopsis: Design theory as a tool for developing concepts and aesthetic concerns. Processes in developing work from the initial concept through to planning and completion of individual projects. A study of contemporary design issues, with a particular focus on jewellery and metalsmithing, is also included.

Assessment: Folio: 80% + Assigned projects: 20%
