Synopsis: Introduction to spreadsheeting; basic mathematics; descriptive statistics; elementary probability; discrete probability distributions; continuous probability distributions; hypothesis testing; forecasting and time series; regression and correlation.

Assessment: On campus: Mid-semester test (conducted in class): 10% + Assignment: 20% + Examination (3 hours): 70% + Distance: Two assignments (each 15%): 30% + Examination (3 hours): 70%
