Associate Professor Andrew Child 6 points + 3 hours per week + First, second, summer semester + Caulfield, Hong Kong (not offered in all locations in all semesters) + Prerequisites: AFF9500, AFF9510 Synopsis: This subject aims to give students an understanding of the conceptual framework of business finance and to develop the skills of analysis and evaluation needed in applying the concepts in a practical situation. Topics covered include theory of valuation, capital budgeting, working capital policy, efficient market theory, cost of capital, dividend policy and financial analysis. Assessment: Assignments (4000 words): 30% + Class assessment: 10% + Examination (3 hours): 60% |
