Computing and information systems for accounting

Synopsis: Introduction to concepts of computer systems, information systems and business software relevant to accounting applications. Basic concepts of computer programming and data structures are introduced through the use of database software. Modelling applications in accounting are studied in the context of spreadsheet software.

Assessment: Written (2 assignments): 40% + Examination (3 hours): 60%
