Master of Health Services Management


General information

This course, offered by the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, aims to provide a program for professionals currently in, or seeking to be in, middle and senior health care management positions who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in the management of health services.
The course can be taken over a 12 to 18-month period of three full-time semesters or over a three-year period of six part-time semesters. The majority of the course is offered in distance education mode with compulsory residential block requirements.
Applicants must have a medical degree, a bachelors degree with honours or graduate diploma, or a three-year bachelors degree with relevant professional experience in a health-related field. The department will individually assess applications from students with a nursing diploma completed before the introduction of nursing degrees. In such instances, the department may require completion of the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Health Services Management before enrolling in the masters program.
