block session and followed by a 12-month employment contract with a leading
media company
This course is designed to prepare graduates for a career in media sales.
Students should form a broad conceptual understanding of the media and
advertising industry environment and specific understanding of media audience
research methodologies, media planning, buying and selling methods and customer
relationship development.
Applicants require a pass degree or equivalent from a recognised tertiary
institution.
Following the full-time six-week block session, student will begin a 12-month
employment cadetship at a leading media company as an entry-level media
executive (salary range of approximately $27,000 to 32,000 per annum in
2000).
This is a fee-paying course. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are
therefore subject to change. Candidates should consult the Department of
Marketing as to the 2001 course fee.
The course consists of four subjects:
