Graduate Certificate in Women's Health


General information

Course code: 2910 Department of Community Medicine and General Practice, East Bentleigh, Victoria Full-fee-paying course: $4620 (Australian residents); $7150 (international students)

Aims

This course aims to cover women's health issues as highlighted by the National Women's Health Policy and the Victorian Government's report on the health status of Victorian women. Through this course, students will gain an understanding of recent advances in the areas of women's health and enhance their skills in the management of women's health issues in general practice.

Entry requirements

The course is available to registered medical practitioners engaged in full or part-time general practice.

Course structure

The course is conducted over 12 months part-time. Students are required to complete the following units:

Assessment

Assessment will include coursework participation, assignments with occasional special projects and clinical audits.

Credits/exemptions

Candidates who have other equivalent qualifications may apply for exemption for certain units in the graduate certificate course. Each case will be considered on its merits.
