Synopsis: An investigation into an industrial problem related to a student0s particular field of interest. The investigation may be either university or industry based and, where possible, be developed on data generated by industry. The investigation may be supported by laboratory work, field studies or literature searches as appropriate.

Assessment: Written (3000 words): 80% + Seminar participation: 20%
