Art and design practice in Britain A

Synopsis: (a) Pre-industrial visual culture. Major religious and secular movements that embody belief and practice of church and state. (b) Post-industrial visual culture. The social and cultural changes that occurred during the industrial period with particular emphasis on art production. Contemporary art will form a major part of the study with particular concern for contemporary art practice.

Assessment: Two reports (1250 words each): 50% + Research journal (2000 words): 50%
