Synopsis: Topics comprise more advanced skills in research design and analysis, cognitive psychology, and social psychology. Cognitive psychology includes contemporary research techniques, cognitive architecture, attentional processes, pattern recognition, mental imagery, and higher-order thinking. Social psychology focuses on social schemas, social attribution, theories of attitude change, group psychology, aggression, interpersonal attraction and affiliation, and sex roles.
Assessment: Examination (3 hours, multiple-choice): 55% + Laboratory report (2000 words): 15% + Essay (2000 words): 15% + Two research design and analysis assignments (500 words each): 5% each + Seminar presentation (10 minutes): 5%
