Interdisciplinary performance project

Synopsis: An investigation of the elements that comprise a performance. (i) An overview of the technical departments involved in the theatre making process. (ii) Selected scenes from contemporary playtexts or libretti, looking at a methodology of rehearsal, including exercises on action and character. The class will present showings of their scene work.

Assessment: Seminar/workshop participation: 30% + Written document (1000 words): 30% + Contribution to performance projects: 40%
