Synopsis: This subject enables the student to develop knowledge and skills related to caring for clients with complex health needs. The subject provides an in-depth study of cardiovascular (CV) function and alterations of same, the concept of perfusion as related to CV, renal function, and haemodynamic monitoring. Content is divided into two modules: 1 - Management of the high-acuity cardiac client & 2 - Haemodynamics.
Assessment: Module 1: Exam: 30%, OSCA: Pass/Fail, Clinical Portfolio: 20%. + Module 2: Case Study: 30%, OSCA: Pass/Fail, Clinical Portfolio: 20%
