Synopsis: Theoretical and practical aspects of contemporary music composition. Selection, preparation and presentation of analyses based on a compositional model. Production of a composition using the analytical model as a basis, examining comtemporary aesthetics, technique and craft.

Assessment: Folio (analysis and minor composition): 50% + Assignments and participation (equivalent 3000 words): 50%
