Synopsis: An introduction to employee relations at the workplace level focusing on workplace reform. Topics include the contract of employment; enterprise bargaining; workplace management and union structures; traditional management style and strategies, management strategies; employee participation; best practice; skill formation; and core/peripheral employment patterns; the external context of employee relations.

Assessment: Written (assignments 4000 words): 40% + Take-home examination: 60%
