Synopsis: Topics covered include an introduction to supply and demand for labour, internal labour markets, labour market segmentation, structural change in the labour market and microeconomic reform, macroeconomic policy, unemployment, wages policy, labour market policy, pay equity, measurement and determinants of productivity, payment systems and efficiency, and the Training Reform Agenda.

Assessment: Written (assignments 4000 words): 40% + Take-home examination: 60%
