Synopsis: Identification and evaluation of the firm0s competitive position, its markets, government policies, social issues, emerging trends and key factors which are critical for success in its environment. The crafting of an appropriate strategy supported by structure, controls and rewards.

Assessment: On campus (two individual papers of 2000 words each, 40%; group presentation, 20%; examination of 3 hours, 40%): 100% + Distance (two individual papers of 2500 words each, 50%; major assignment, 50%): 100%
