Synopsis: Students undertaking this subject will understand the evolution of the World Trade Organisation, the legal structure of the WTO and its legal instruments, as well as the dispute settlement process. Trade agreements, protectionism and areas such as intellectual property, trademarks, copyright, patents and anti-competitive practices are also discussed.
Assessment: Oral simulation: 20% + Written essay: 30% + Examination (2 hours): 50%
