Synopsis: This subject introduces the theory and practice of management in the public sector. Emphasis is given to new models of public management, problems of accountability and control, financial management, institutions, bureaucracy, and similarities and differences between public and private management.

Assessment: Short paper (1000 words): 20% + Essay (3000 words): 30% + Examination (two hours): 50%
