Synopsis: This subject focuses on assessment and treatment issues taking into account acute illness phase, relapsing illness and chronic illness. Specific areas will include early intervention in first episode psychosis, use of antipsychotic medication, the role of psychological therapies and social interventions, management of comorbid problems, psychosocial rehabilitation and models of shared care.
