Contemporary issues in employment relations

(BUS)

6 points + 3-hour tutorial per week + Distance, approximately 12 hours per week + Second semester + Gippsland + Prerequisite: MGG2323

Synopsis: Students choose issues based on their future research or vocational interests from a range of employment relations areas including the role of public policy, industrial democracy and worker participation, management control, industrial legislation, the role of trade unions, equal opportunity, affirmative action, industrial restructuring etc.

Assessment: Assignment one (2000 words): 20% + Assignment two (3000 words): 30% + Assignment 3: (5000 words): 50%
