Synopsis: Issues will be addressed at several levels: organisational level - organisational productivity; links of business strategy to people management; culture; implementation. Group level - teamwork; work practices. Individual level - employee attitudes; behaviour. Managing the diverse workforces arising from contemporary changes. The subject takes a problem-focused approach, presenting practices and interventions to address problems and contemporary issues for practice.
Assessment: Group presentations and individual written proposal for major assignment (500 words): 20% + Major assignment (2500 words): 40% + Examination (2 hours): 40%
