Synopsis: The subject focuses on the changing nature of workers; labour process theories; labour and management at the workplace; labour market deregulation and workplace reform; employee participation in management, employee financial participation; training and skill formation; equal opportunity and managing diversity; and occupational health and safety.

Assessment: Written assignment (3000 words): 30% + Tutorial paper and participation: 10% + Examination (2 hours): 60%
