6 points + Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: MGC1020 and MGC1030 or with the approval of the lecturer + Prohibitions: Students who have successfully completed GSM1030 or MGC1030 between 1992 and 1995 are not permitted to enrol in this subject

Synopsis: This subject provides a framework for understanding the behaviour of people in work settings. Its field of analysis includes the individual, the group, and the total organisation, and it is concerned with characteristics and processes, and individual and organisational outcomes. As such, it provides information upon factors that affect the behaviour of people at work, and also upon human factors that affect the behaviour of people at work, and also upon human factors that influence both the effectiveness and efficiency of organisations.

Assessment: Assignment 1: 10% + Assignment 2: 20% + Examination (3 hours): 70%
