Synopsis: Strategies for control. Improving system response. Steady-state errors in automatic control systems. Controllers and compensators. Open-loop frequency response and root locus techniques and their use in correcting system behaviour. Stability, controllability and observability of proposed control system. Digital simulation (Matlab, Vissim). Introduction to intelligent control and digital control technology.
