Synopsis: One of either a design study drawn from local industry or a project arising within the department. The subject requires the preparation of an interim report and a minor thesis as well as an oral presentation at a seminar.

Assessment: Interim report: 15% + Seminar presentation: 15% + Written thesis: 70%
