8 points + 5 hours per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: Level C Japanese or equivalent

Synopsis: Development of advanced communication skills in written and spoken language through various activities integrating listening, speaking, reading and writing. Activities are built around topics such as Japanese people0s lifestyles, Japanese history and cultural interaction between Australian and Japanese. Students will reinforce the 1006 kyooiku kanji and approximately a further 200 kanjis will be introduced.

Assessment: Quizzes and assignments: 25% + Projects: 25% + Examinations: 50%
