Synopsis: The study of register variations and discourse strategies in a variety of texts regarding aspects of contemporary Italy. The subject reviews areas of syntax considered problematic and aims at consolidating oral and written expression. Translation is studied to foster awareness of comparative linguistic structures in Italian and English.

Assessment: Continuous assessment: 70% + End-of-semester test: 30%
